The ancestry of this branch of the Bradley Clan has been traced back to James O'Bradley, born 1700 in Drumfries, Inishowen,
Co. Donegal, Ireland.
His son, John Shane Bradley, was born in Mintiaghs, Ballinlough, Buncrana, Co. Donegal, in 1744. John married Sarah McDevitt,
the daughter of Patrick McDevitt, who was born in 1718. Sarah was born in Sleadran, Buncrana, in 1760. They lived in Ballinlough,
Buncrana and had three children: Patrick (1785), John (1788), and James (1795).
James married Sarah McCarron who was born in Dumfries, Buncrana, in 1810. They lived in Linsfort, Buncrana and had three
children: John (b. 1832), Sarah (b. 1835), and James (b. 1838).
The Family of John Bradley (1832-1911) and Nancy McLaughlin Bradley (1834-1922)
John married Anne (Nancy) McLaughlin who was born in Tondoff in 1834. They moved to Glebe, Buncrana, and had nine children:
James, Catherine, Patrick, John, Daniel, William, Denis, Michael and Mary Ann.

James, their first child, was born in 1863, and married Annie Gillespie of Leophin, Buncrana, in 1898, and had ten children.
Catherine, their second child, was born in 1866, and married Philip Doherty in 1886, and lived in Carndonagh in Inishowen,
and had seven children.
Patrick, their third child, was born in 1869 and lived in Dublin. He died on 27 June 1908 and is buried in the family
plot in Desertegney.
John, their fourth child, was born in 1871, and married Margaret Fullerton. He was a joiner and worked in the shipping
industry. They moved to Glasgow, Scotland, where the oldest children were born, and later moved to Belfast, where the rest
of the seven children were born.
Daniel, their fifth child, was born in 1875, and married Agnes Kelly of Dublin. He worked as a shoemaker and they moved
to Glasgow, Scotland, where they had four children.
William, their sixth child, was born in 1876, and married Helen V. Gallagher. He worked as a shoemaker and they moved
to Glasgow, Scotland, where they had five children.
Denis, their seventh child, was born in 1877, and married Agnes O'Sullivan of Cork. He also worked as a shoemaker and
moved to Glasgow, Scotland, where they had five children.
Michael, their eighth child, was born in 1879, and died in infancy.
Mary Ann, their ninth child, was born in 1881, and married Willie Bradley (no relation). He was a farmer in Muneagh, Buncrana,
where they had twelve children.
